Dear ISRRT members,

The ISRRT Board of Management wants its members to know that our thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been affected by the unprecedented COVID-19 virus affecting the world today. As a board and profession, we know these are turbulent times and we appreciate the radiographers / radiological technologists worldwide who are serving as frontline professional’s during this pandemic. Know that your knowledge, care and efforts make a difference for patient’s health care today.

The ISRRT has received inquiries from our council members, abstract submitters, and members wondering if the ISRRT World Congress which is scheduled Aug 26-29th in Dublin Ireland will still take place.

For now, the World Congress remains scheduled as planned. We understand that several members countries are not allowing personal to schedule travel at this time. Those of you that have accepted abstracts know that the ISRRT Board Of Management will work with the Irish Society to discuss a possible extension to the early bird registration.

Know that the ISRRT will continue to work closely with the Irish society to address any ongoing developments and challenges regarding the ISRRT World Congress.

The COVID-19 continues to evolve and we know that ISRRT members around the world are trying to prepare and respond to this pandemic. The ISRRT believes that the most accurate and up to date information is being provided by the WHO and the CDC. The ISRRT will continue to provide this information from the WHO and CDC on the ISRRT official social medias including both the ISRRT website under the communications tab, as well as the ISRRT Facebook page. Stay Safe and know we are thinking about you.
Sincerely,

Donna Newman, ISRRT President and ISRRT Board of Management
