Strengthening Bonds and Forging Partnerships
Dear ISRRT Members,
I extend a warm welcome to all ISRRT members as we embark on a new journey through our revamped platform for News and Views. Over the past year, the Board has been diligently addressing various crucial matters, demonstrating our commitment to advancing the field of radiologic technology.
International Academic Network:
One of our key achievements includes the establishment of the International Academic Network (IAN). This initiative aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among academic institutions globally, enhancing the educational landscape for our members. I am excited to announce the two chairs of IAN steering committee. Dr.Safora Johansen will chair the research branch while Professor Jenny Sim will chair the education branch of the IAN.
Collaboration with International Organizations:
Our commitment to global collaboration is evident through partnerships with esteemed international organizations such as IAEA, WHO,ISR and ISMRT. These collaborations facilitate the exchange of expertise, ideas, and resources, ultimately contributing to the elevation of standards in our profession.
MOU with ISMRT:
We are thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Society of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Radiographers and Technologists (ISMRT). This collaboration opens new avenues for shared learning and growth within the realm of magnetic resonance imaging.
Industry Collaboration with Siemens Healthineers:
Recognizing the importance of industry collaboration, we have forged a significant partnership by signing an MOU with Siemens Healthineers. This collaboration reflects our dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements, ensuring our members have access to cutting-edge resources and expertise.
Gratitude for Member Society Visits:
I express my heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitalities extended to me during my visits to numerous member societies. These visits have provided valuable insights and strengthened our connections. Such interactions are vital for understanding the diverse needs and challenges faced by our members.
Exciting Future Activities:
As we reflect on the past year’s accomplishments, I am genuinely excited about the future. We anticipate more thrilling activities, collaborations, and initiatives that will further elevate ISRRT’s impact on the medical imaging and radiation therapy landscapes.
