IAEA launches new E-learning

The IAEA has created e-learning program designed to provide continuing education to medical imaging professionals in safety and quality in computed tomography (CT).
“Radiation dose management in CT” provides continuing education to health professionals on the safe and effective use of computed tomography (CT). This e-learning course explores the technical applications of patient radiation protection in CT imaging and is available to participants all around the world.

IAEA-EANM Webinar Series on Basic Nuclear Medicine and Paediatric Nuclear Medicine
Following the vision of the
Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging Section (NMDI), Division of Human
Health of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to support Member
States to improve their capabilities in these medical fields, the NMDI Section,
together with the European Society of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) present you a
selection of recorded seminars from the series on “Basic Nuclear Medicine”. We
are glad to inform you that subsequent seminars in the same series and in
“Paediatric Nuclear Medicine”, will be released on a weekly basis beginning from
today, each Monday of the week.

WHA67.20 “Regulatory system strengthening for medical products”
Based on the
67th World Health Assembly Resolution WHA67.20 “Regulatory system strengthening
for medical products” adopted in 2014, WHO has
undertaken a series of activities to scale up and strengthen regulatory
capacities worldwide.
For the purpose
of this resolution, medical products include medicines, vaccines, diagnostics
and medical devices. It states the importance of the regulations of medical devices
as one of the medical products, for better public health outcome and to
increase access to safe, effective and quality medical products; and
acknowledges the need to support the area of medical devices. The complete text
of the Resolution, in the 6 WHO official languages are available.
