THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF RADIOGRAPHERS AND RADIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGISTS (ISRRT)
The ISRRT is an England and Wales based registered Charity (Registration number 276218) and a not-for-profit organisation.
The ISRRT is an
organisation composed of national Radiographic Societies from 96 countries
representing more than 500,000 Radiographers and Radiological Technologists. It
was formed in 1959 to act as a link between Radiographers and
Radiological Technologists throughout the world.
The ISRRT is dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of radiography, radiotherapy and allied subjects by the promotion of improved standards of education and of research in the technical aspects of radiation, medicine and protection.
It is a non-political organisation and is not a trade union.
The ISRRT undertakes educational workshops in developing countries and supports the profession of radiography worldwide by undertaking various activities through its role as a non-governmental organisation in official relations with the World Health Organisation.
The Archives are held in the John Ryland Library of Manchester University.
