Donna Newman, ISRRT President
Dear ISRRT Members,
Join me and the ISRRT in making a stand against the tobacco industry as they are targeting the next generation of tobacco users. As radiographers, we can impact the future of our profession by having our voices heard. Let’s flood our Facebook pages this May 31 with pictures and contribute to the Annual Public Awareness Campaign against tobacco. May 31 is the WHO International World No Tobacco Day and as a global partner, the ISRRT is asking all its member to help us promote and raise awareness against the tobacco epidemic. The secret is out and the ISRRT understands that tobacco industry are targeting the younger radiography generations. The ISRRT also believes that our member’s voices are strong and pictures say a 1000 word, which can give a visual. YOU can make the difference and help with this campaign.
ISRRT has made a poster to support this international campaign and would like radiographers from around the world to take a stand. Take your picture holding our ISRRT Stop Smoking “Keep the next generation in Radiography a non-smoking profession” and show the world that radiographer a powerful voice and can make a difference in this campaign!
