Pam Rowntree holds the position of Professor in Medical Radiations and heads the medical radiations discipline team at the Queensland University of Technology in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Brisbane. She is also Director of Academic Programs across the School of Clinical Sciences. Pam has had extensive experience in radiography education and prior to joining QUT and Pam worked in both the private and public sectors. Her areas of special interest include general and trauma radiography, image interpretation, education, and quality assurance. She has participated in conferences at both national and international levels. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR) and an active member of several professional organisations, and ISRRT Councillor for <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Australia</st1:country-region>.

Terry graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) in Cellular and Microbiology in 1978. He received his diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology in 1980. After working as a technologist at a large metropolitan hospital for several years, he taught Nuclear Medicine at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. In 1986 he began his current position at the Foothills Hospital as the Nuclear Medicine Clinical Coordinator. Over the years he has received his Masters and doctoral degree in Education specializing in instructional design and preceptorships.

My name is Cestmir David and I was born in November 3, <st1:metricconverter w:st="on" productid="1951 in">1951 in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Prague. I graduated in my profession as a Radiographer in 1976 and started work in the Radiology Department of the Faculty Hospital Bulovka, <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Prague. In 1977 I moved to the Radiology Department of the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) and I was appointed a head radiographer in 1981 there. After the “Velvet Revolution“ (the end of the rule of the Communist party) I started with my work in the Committee of the Czech Society of Radiographers. I have performed the duties of president of the Czech Society and Council Member ISRRT. In 2001 I began my studies for the Bachelor’s degree in Radiography which I completed in 2005. I then continued with my studies and I graduated in the Master’s Degree in Crisis Radiobiology and Toxicology in 2006. I am at present working as a head radiographer in the Department of Radiology of IKEM <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Prague and I am the vice president and Council Member of the ISRRT for the Czech Society of Radiographers. Dr. Samuel Y. Opoku is a Lecturer in Radiotherapy at the Department of Radiography University of Ghana and is also the Chief Radiotherapist at the Center for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital,. He first joined the Radiography profession in 1997 when he was admitted to the University for Radiation Therapy programme and graduated in 2001 with Bachelor of Science (Honours). He worked briefly in Cancer Center and returned to Ghana in 2002 to take up a job as Principal Radiotherapist in Accra. In 2003, Dr. Opoku left Ghana to continue his studies in radiography at the City University of London, where he awarded Master of Philosophy in 2003 and Doctor in Philosophy Degree (Radiography) in 2007.
He holds professional registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists’. Dr. Opoku has attended and presented papers at several international conferences including the 6th Clinical Cancer Prevention 2010 in Switzerland; Modern Radiotherapy, Challenges and Advances in Radiation protection of Patients, Paris, France in 2009; African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) Conference, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania in 2009 and 12th International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT), Amsterdam, Holland in 2002.
He is a pioneering member, Interim Allied Health Professions Council of Ghana, of which he was instrumental in its establishment. Dr. Opoku has several awards to his credit including Howard University Division of Allied Health National Honour Society Award 2000, Howard University Dept. of Radiation Academic Achievement Award, 1999 and National Society of Collegiate Scholar (USA) 2002.
Euthimios, a father of two girls was born in Sydney, Australia and is of Greek origin. Nevertheless he dislikes barriers and thus considers himself a citizen of the entire world.
He received his secondary education in Pireaus, Greece. His professional history as a radiographer begins in the late 80s, when Euthimios returned to Sydney to continue his studies. His tertiary education was completed with a degree in Medical Radiation Technology (Diagnostic Radiography) at Sydney University. His employment appointments included a 5 year period where he was a practicing radiographer and ultrasonographer in various private practices in Sydney.
In 1995, he relocated to Athens where he commenced working in a large university hospital as a diagnostic radiographer. He is currently the head radiographer in CT since its establishment in 1999.
All these years, he has been actively involved in national and European scientific congresses with presentations in ECR 2004 and ECR 2008, ESUR 2009, CIRSE 2010, as a speaker, moderator, and a member of both scientific and organizing committees.
Furthermore he designs CPD programs for the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and takes part in radiography education as:
- a clinical associate with TEI (Tertiary Education Institution)
- an educator in vocational education. Instructor
In addition, he represents radiographers’ interests as a voting member in special governmental committees.
Recently he was awarded the MSc in Health Services Management from the National School of Public Health in Athens.

His career as a radiographer began in 1986 when Mr. Derek Kwan graduated in the Hong Kong Polytechnic. Pursuant to his Masters studies, his specialty practice in MRI lasted until 2007, when he started managing the Radiology Department as Senior Radiographer at Pok Oi Hospital. Upon assuming the post of Senior Manager at New Territories West Cluster Chief Executive Office in 2011, his role was extended to hospital administration and planning.
In 2009, Derek joined the Hong Kong Radiographers Association as the academic secretary, to coordinate continuing education activities in the profession. In May 2011, he was elected as the Chairman of the Association. Derek is one of the Board Members of the Hong Kong Radiographers Board, serving the statutory body as Chairman of Examination Committee and Preliminary Investigation Committee.
Shane qualified as a diagnostic Radiographer from University College Dublin in 1999 and spent 9 years working in the Mater University hospital in both Basic and Senior grade roles. Since 2007, he has worked as a lecturer in UCD on both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Charles O. Okello qualified as a diagnostic Radiographer in July 1985 from the then Kenya Medical Training Centre.
He has worked at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Coast <st1:placename w:st="on">Provincial General <st1:placetype w:st="on">Hospital for the last twenty one (21) years, including a short stint of 7 months at the Tiwi Rural Health Centre.
During his training and working life, he has had the experience of working part time in various private hospitals.
He has also been widely exposed to skill-enhancing workshops organized by the professional society and research institutes. As a Medical Imaging technologist, his area of interest is Ultrasonography.
In the year 2001, he participated in the curriculum development review workshop held at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) – the institution that trains Radiographers in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Kenya</st1:country-region>.

Stefano Braico is a diagnostic radiologic technologist who graduated with a Diploma at the Superior School. He has worked as a radiographer at Pineta del Carso Private Hospital in Trieste, U.S.L. in Cividale, (UD), Trieste University and as CT Radiographer at Presidio Ospedaliero di Monfalcone. At present Stefano is Head Radiographer at the Presidio Ospedaliero di Monfalcone and is a lecturer in CT and MRI in Trieste University.

Mwalimushi C. Kamati-Chinkoti is a Chief Radiographer for Regional Services – Namibia. She co-ordinates regular supervisory support visits to public radiography departments in all 13 regions of Namibia (36 x-ray departments, one nuclear medicine and one radiotherapy department). She also liaises with the regional and national management teams on issues pertaining to radiography.
Kamati-Chinkoti completed a National Diploma in Radiography (diagnostic) from the University of Namibia in 2000. In 2003 she completed a National diploma in Radiotherapy from the Witwatersrand Technikon in South Africa. In 2007 she obtained a Masters of Business Management from the Management College of Southern Africa. She is currently a Doctor of Business Leadership candidate.
She has been in the employment of the Ministry of Health and Social Services for over 13 years. Firstly, as a pupil radiographer, diagnostic radiographer, and then as a radiation therapist until she was promoted to the chief radiographer post.
She serves on several educational and social boards/committees. Kamati-Chinkoti is proud of Namibia, her beautiful inheritance and does not let an opportunity pass without bragging about it. That is why she created www.my-beautiful-namibia.com. Mwalimushi is especially passionate about capacity building in radiography. Kathy Colgan was born in New Zealand.
She holds qualifications in; The Australasian Conjoint Board Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, obtained in 1983; Computed Tomography Course from the Bachelor of Health Science Medical Imaging Programme, UNITEC Institute of Technology, Auckland in 1997, and a Clinical Supervision Course from Central Institute of Technology, Wellington, NZ in 1999.
Kathy held the position of Executive Member of the NZIMRT Board of Management holding the Education Portfolio from 2002 to 2008. She was Chairperson of the NZIMRT CPD Panel and currently serves as CPD Portfolio Assessor.
Kathy has served as Vice President, President and Immediate Past President of NZIMRT.
Kathy’s work experience is vast and since 2010 is the Charge MRT/Professional Advisor for the Lakes District Health Board.

Stephen Samson Mkoloma graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Diagnostic Radiography in April 2008. Before that he received his diploma in Diagnostic Radiography in December 2005 which was awarded by the University of Dar es Salaam; Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS)

Mr. Mkoloma was appointed a chairperson for the interim committee that organized a Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting for TARA after some years of it’s being silent. He is currently holding this position following the TARA general election that took place in November 2013 during the conference and AGM.
Dr. Yudthaphon Vichianin graduated from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Mahidol <st1:placetype w:st="on">University with the degree of Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) in Radiological Technology in 1995. He pursued his study and received his Master of Sciences in Information Technology (MSIT) at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Mahidol <st1:placetype w:st="on">University in 2000. He was granted a Royal Thai Government Scholarship to continue his study and received his Master of Sciences in Information System (MSIS) from Hawai'i Pacific University in 2003 and a doctoral degree in Communication and Information Sciences from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University of <st1:placename w:st="on">Hawai'i, Manoa in 2007.
Currently, Yudthaphon is a lecturer and the secretary of the Master of Sciences degree program in Radiological Technology at the Faculty of Medical Technology, <st1:placename w:st="on">Mahidol <st1:placetype w:st="on">University in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Bangkok, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Thailand</st1:country-region>.
Yudthaphon's has focused his professional expertise upon the intersection of ICTs, radiation technology, and education. Mr Mohamed Khelifi is a radiological technologist who graduated in 2001 from the Higher School of Sciences and Health Technologies of Sfax as sentior technician in medical imaging and therapy.
He worked for 8 years in the radiology department of the Tunisian Military Hospital. He then went to Quebec in 2011 where he received the Canadian equivalent of his diploma. He began work as a technologist in the Department of Radiology, LaSalle Hospital in Montreal.
Mr Khelifi loves associative work and volunteering. He has served, since 2008, as an officer of the Tunisian Association of Radiological Technologists, responsible for the preparation and organisation of workshops and the Congress of Radiology. He is also the editor of the ATTR'X magazine and the director of its official page on Facebook.

Rogers has been in practice for the last six years as a radiographer and sonographer with a special passion for ultrasound. He is currently working in ECUREI Mengo Hospital, Kampala, Uganda. as a full time radiographer and sonographer and also hodls the position of ECUREI Radiation Protection Officer. He serves as assistant lecturer and practical demonstrator to medical imaging undergraduate students at ECUREI Mengo Hospital and is the AG Course co-ordinator Bachelors in Diagnostic Ultrasound. He has worked for St Francis Nkokonjeru Hospital Mukono, a rural hospital in central Uganda as Head of Radiology Department from 2008 to 2011. He was in Kibuli Muslim Hospital and Kansanga Medical Centre, Kampala as part time radiographer and sonographer from 2009 to 2011. He has worked in Kyandondo Medical Centre, Kawempe as a part time radiographer and sonographer as well as Head of Radiology Department from 2009 to 2012.
Donna L. Thaler Long, M.S.M., R.T.(R)(M)(QM), FASRT
Donna is the radiography program director for Ball State University/Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received an associate degree in radiologic technology from Indiana University and Methodist Hospital, a bachelor’s degree in health services management from Indiana University and a master’s degree in management from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Donna also works as a staff radiographer at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital in Danville, Indiana. Donna said that she is fortunate to have had to the opportunity to work in a variety of roles throughout her career including staff radiographer, fluoroscopy supervisor, administrative director of radiology, sales, equipment applications and education. Donna has served on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists for nine years as Vice Speaker (3 years), Speaker (2 years), Secretary-treasurer, President-elect, President and Chairman of the Board. She has served on numerous committees for the ASRT and was elevated to Fellow in 1994. She is also a Life Member, past president and an active member of the Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists.
