World Health Organisation is supportive of World Radiography Day

The theme adopted by the ISRRT this year is really excellent ( ‘Radiographers Care About YOUR Protection’) and totally consistent with the purpose and scope of the WHO Global Initiative on Radiation Safety in Health Care Settings.

 This is an excellent opportunity not only to commemorate a new anniversary of the discovery of X-rays but specially to raise awareness of the great benefits of the use of radiation in medicine and the importance of using it in a safe and effective way, as well as to sensitize and inform patients and public.
